2026 Assessment Rates
Click the button below to view the 2026 assessment rates. Each landowner falls into one of the rate classifications depending on how they receive their water from FID. Majority of parcels fall under the classification of "Water Service".
Assessment rates are structured to increase each year through 2028, when they will reach the maximum amount approved by landowners in the 2023 Prop 218 election. For questions, contact the District Assessor by phone at (559) 233-7161 ext. 7202 or by email at assessor@fresnoirrigation.com.
Investing in FID's Water Future
In 2023, FID landowners approved an assessment increase through a Proposition 218 election. That approval provided the funding needed to strengthen infrastructure, increase water supply capture, build drought resilience, and protect water rights – supporting reliable water deliveries and long-term security for landowners. Today, those assessment dollars are being put to work.
FID invests assessment dollars across three categories to protect the long-term reliability of the District's system and customers' water supply:
-
43% for surface water infrastructure
-
40% for groundwater sustainability
-
17% for legal and water rights defense

Prop 218 Election Results
In 2023, FID held a Proposition 218 election to increase landowner assessments, with a goal to continue the legacy our landowners have built. The election passed with 64.3% of votes in favor. The results were announced following a public hearing at the FID Board of Directors meeting on June 8, 2023.
